Juniors Day - Knockdow and Glenstriven Estate - 24th May 2009
Sunday 24th May saw the return of the popular DDAC Juniors Day held by kind permission at Knockdow and Glenstriven estate. The purpose of this event is to give children and youngsters experience of fly fishing with emphasis on enjoyment. Estate staff and experienced club members were on hand throughout the afternoon to help with tackle, casting, fly selection, fly-tying, fish landing and midge repellent where required ! As part of the afternoon a BBQ lunch and refreshments were provided. A number of nice fish were caught and also some smaller specimens and it was encouraging to see so many children, teenagers and parents on the day.
A word of thanks to Jake Chambers and Karl Ferguson for organising and hosting such a successful event. Sincere thanks to Davie Forbes for providing refreshments and cooking some excellent burgers and to all the adults and club members for your valued support. These children and teenagers are the future of DDAC and we hope too see them fly fishing again soon.

JUNIOR DAY ON LOCH TARSAN - 13th September 2009
Six junior members enjoyed fishing Loch Tarsan by boat on Sunday 13th September. Despite the calm, sunny conditions several good fish were caught and a great day out was enjoyed by all.
Thanks are due to Karl, Hamish, Harry and Peter who were ghillies for the day !
